These images are from a series of ''skin illustrations" I have been working on since early April of 2007. You might recognize a few of these images from previous posts, but I wanted to post them all together with the newer ones and a bit of explanation.

After choosing an idea and a model, I would draw a design directly on the skin using various permanent inks. Then I took photographs of each model with my Cannon RebelXL. Finally, I would work each image up in Photoshop with a mixture of photomanipulation and digital painting.

The project was to be a celebration of art and the stories behind each piece. I intended to put them all together in a book, with a little writing about each model, who they were and how I came to meet them.

I have had allot of help from friends and family to bring this project along as far as I have, but I am afraid I have taken it as far as I can. The ideas are becoming stale and even though I may pick it up again it is finished for now.

Thank you to all who have helped out. I have had allot of fun doing each of these images. The book my never be finished, but I think it is worth it's time here on display in good old cyberspace. I also plan to make big tapestry prints of each image to put on display in a local gallery.
